USC commit may take trips

USC commit Chris Metcalf (6-2, 180, 4.6) from Compton, Calif., was one of the many headliners who showed up and participated at the NIKE Camp held in Los Angeles. He plays a hybrid linebacker/safety for Compton but was recruited by USC as an athlete and appears that he will end up playing on the D-I level at strong safety.

Metcalf looked pretty good when you consider he's more of a run stopper for Compton and doesn't play in space much. He displayed good skills and had a pretty good day.

Metcalf who chose USC over offers from the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, and Tennessee could end up taking some official visits this fall.

"I'm going to try and visits to Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, Oregon and USC," Metcalf said. "I still want to take my visits just to make sure that USC is the right place for me.
