Philipp lives up to rep at NIKE
Four-star Michael Philipp (6-4, 305, 5.1) from San Bernardino (Calif.) Arroyo Valley is considered by many as the best offensive lineman in the Golden State for the class and of 2009. His performance at the NIKE Camp held in Los Angeles did nothing but enhance his status as a player.
Rivals.com National recruiting anylist Barry Every said it best.
"Philipp was like a dancing bear under the big top showing off his nimbleness for the crowd," Every said. "He breezed through the agility webs like a basketball player. And then in one-on-ones he could move those feet in pass protection like no other I have seen during the Nike Camp season to date."
High praise indeed. Like many tough competitors, Philipp is his own toughest critic.
"I think I could of done better," Philipp said of his NIKE Camp performance. "My technique and my push could have been a lot better.
Philipp plans to attend the San Bernardino County Combine in May and perhaps the USC one day camp in June. There are no other camps on his agenda at this time.
