UGA offers huge 2010 offensive tackle
The University of Georgia has joined the group of schools that have decided to extend early offers to the one of the biggest offensive linemen on the east coast. Robert Crisp has made an early name for himself and offers are starting to come in on a regular basis.
"I believe I have seven offers now," said Crisp. "Boston College, Eastern Carolina, Maryland, N.C. State, Virginia, and now Miami and Georgia have offered me."
Georgia is one of his most recent offers and the offer came about a week ago after UGA sent offensive line coach Stacy Searels and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo to Chapel Hill (N.C.).
"I have not really been receiving attention from Georgia, but I had not been talking to the coaches there or anything before the offer. I did not really expect an offer from them that day or anything, so it was a little surprising."
"Both of the coaches just watched me practice and I guess I practiced pretty good. My head coach (Isaac Marsh) told me I had an offer from them after practice."
Athens is a place that the 6-foot-8, 293-pound 2010 OL wants to see.
"I have always wanted to visit Georgia to see what it is like," he said. "I have some family down in College Park, so I have been to the state, but I have never been to the college."
