Nation's No. 2 all-purpose back visiting Morgantown

DURHAM, N.C.--In the West Virginia offense, current Houston Texans' third-round draft pick Steve Slaton played what the staff called a "super back." It was the definition of Slaton--both literally and figuratively.

He became WVU's third all-time career rusher from 2005-07, career touchdown leader and all-time career scoring leader (non-kickers) from the tailback, slot and wide receiver positions. His 4,775 career all-purpose yards are second only to Avon Cobourne's on the all-time Mountaineer list.
