Dunkley left Athens with big news

The receiver position in Athens at the Mark Richt Camp was deep with underclassmen and the best one there was arguably Chris Dunkley. Dunkley showed a lot of speed and the ability to get separation, but his hands may have stood out more than anything. He did not drop one pass in Athens and that led to some big news before he left.

"Georgia has not really been recruiting me that long, but they started sending me letters in the spring, and I decided to go to their camp on Saturday," Dunkley said.

"The first time I heard anything from Georgia was when Coach [John] Eason, Coach [Mike] Bobo, and Coach [John] Lilly came down to one of our practices. After that they started recruiting me and sending me letters about their camp. I was supposed to be at Miami's camp on Saturday, but I decided to go to Georgia's instead."

The receiver out of Royal Palm Beach (Fla.) is happy that he made the trip to Athens. At the end of the camp he received some big news from the Bulldogs.

"Coach Eason and Coach [Bryan] McClendon told me that I have an offer from Georgia now and that they will send me a written offer on September 1," he said.

"Coach Eason told me that he really liked me and that he was really impressed with my performance."

When he heard the news, he was left speechless.

"I did not know what to say or think when Coach Eason offered me. I was so excited and just so happy about it."
