Bruins conduct workout

It is hard to believe that UCLA's first game is less than two months away. So yesterday evening the Bruins had a voluntary seven on seven and it appeared that the offensive guys have been working pretty hard this offseason.

That's a good thing because it is that side of the ball where the largest questions are.

Of course the two biggest questions the Bruins face is along the offensive line and at quarterback and that takes us to junior college transfer Kevin Craft (6-5, 210). This young man appears to have taken the proposition of early playing time seriously as he looks like he is picking up the playbook. Craft was very decisive with his throws and ball was getting out of his hand on time.

Freshman Antwon Moutra looked yesterday like a guy who wants play on September 1st against Tennessee. He was able to get deep all session long and he made a sensational diving catch where he laid out. It was very impressive outing for the true freshman to be.

Moutra beat another corner on a deep route and only a good play by junior safety Aaron Ware who never quit on the ball saved a touchdown. That play emphasized the old football adage that football is a game of inches.
