Harris likes 3, will decide soon
The Oregon Ducks have been combing the Rocky Mountain states for quality athletes. Offensive lineman, Jack Harris from Chaparral High School in Parker, Colorado (6'6", 280, 5.28 electronically-timed 40) is just such a recruit. Duck Sports Authority caught up with this engaging young man and asked him how the recruiting process was shaking out for him.
It looks like his decision is coming up soon. "I am going to make my decision probably after the Sept 8th Oregon-Utah State game. I am going on an official visit to Oregon that weekend and then we will see what happens," Harris thoughtfully pointed out.
Harris has been recruited by a lot of schools but he has informed us that he has recently added a school to his final three. "My three choices are Oregon, CU and Vanderbilt not necessary in that order. Earlier it pretty much was CU and Oregon, but since my family went on a trip to South Carolina, and we visited the Vanderbilt campus. I really enjoyed the coaching staff. I really like the way they carry themselves. They are building up that that program," Jack said admiringly.
Harris been spending his summer on vacation and working out and thinking about academics. "I am working out hard this summer. My bench is up to 295 and my squat is 425. Our high school is in the middle of what we call boot camp, so we are working out a lot. My GPA is 2.95 I got a 24 on the ACT. I want to major in Sports Business Management. I'm hoping to do well in school," Jack commented.
