One week of practice time left

With a week to go before the team travels to Palo Alto, the Beavers looked more and more in game preparation on Thursday afternoon. Inside Reser Stadium again on a cloudy day in the Willamette Valley, OSU's practice was more laid back than usual, but still productive in all aspects of the game. The hands team even got a shot at getting ready for the upcoming season. Here is what I witnessed from the second level at Reser Stadium on Thursday:

- It has basically come down to Lyle Moevao and Justin Engstrom taking the majority of the snaps at quarterback. Sean Canfield sat on the sideline with no pads on and watched again today, and even Ryan Katz didn't get many reps at the end of practice with the newcomers. Lyle looked sharp tonight, and had one of his nicest passes of fall camp, a deep ball with a perfect spiral on it to Sammie Stroughter. Engstrom looked shaky again today and even had trouble handling the snaps, fumbling a few times.
