Talent is not an issue for Rogers

When looking in Georgia for the top 2010 athletes in Georgia, DaRick Rogers has be in consideration. He has the size, speed, skills, and athleticism to be as good as he wants to be. The junior is getting a fresh start at a new school this fall, so he will be separating from close friend and talented quarterback Nash Nance.

Rogers was at Darlington in 2007, but he will take his talents and big play ability down the road in 2008. After growing close to 2010 quarterback prospect Nash Nance, they will now be playing on separate teams.

"I will miss playing with Nash, but things are going pretty good at Calhoun," Rogers said. "So far so good… I think I have fit in about as good as I expected to. Everything has gone pretty good so far."

The Calhoun players, fans, and coaches have to be excited about Rogers arrival. He is one of the top athletes in the state of Georgia.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound junior ran the forty yard dash at a combine earlier this summer and he was timed at 4.43 seconds and he was just tested in the vertical where he leaped 41 inches. He is an athlete that can do it all on the field. He will start on both sides of the ball for Head Coach Hal Lamb.
