2010 RB favors Eagles
Danvers (Mass.) St. John's Prep running back Brendon Felder may only be a junior but he is already attracting the attention of coaches from across the country.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound running back runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and is off to a strong start in his junior campaign.
He has helped lead St. John's Prep to a 2-0 start on the year and has been very productive when he has been on the field. They won their first game 36-12, and Felder had eight carries for 75 yards and three touchdowns, while also catching four passes for 30 yards. St. John's won their second contest on Friday 41-14, with Felder touching the ball four times for 51 yards.
What schools are interested in the talented back?
"I recently got some letters from Nebraska, Duke and a lot from Boston College. I get letters from BC about every week. I know I'm going to at least two games at Boston College this year and I'll definitely be going to the Notre Dame game.
"I just got a letter from Oregon today as well. They said one of the coaches on their staff has been looking at me and is interested. They want me to send film of early season games."
Does he have a favorite?
"I would say BC is probably the highest on my list," he said. "They've shown the most interest in me. They haven't talked about offering yet but they told me to be at the Notre Dame game because a lot of their top prospects will be there.
"Right now I just really like their coaches a lot. They seem like really good coaches and I know they have a good atmosphere. I've been at BC a lot growing up, being from Boston. I've been to a camp and I just like everything about it."
