Johnson wants to play for a winner
Junior running back Storm Johnson has become one of the most talked about 2010 backs in the state of Georgia this season. A number of schools have sent coaches out to watch Johnson play this season and he is picking up a lot of attention.
"I am getting a lot of attention from Ohio State, Miami, LSU, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, Clemson, Auburn, and FSU," said Johnson. "I don't have any offers yet, but I do think they will be coming."
After working hard for two years and patiently waiting his turn for the Wolves, Johnson has put his name on the map after a quick start. Many Buford games are over by halftime plus Coach Jess Simpson spreads the ball out to different backs, so Johnson's carries or yardage may not be off the charts, but he does show productivity.
Buford is off to a 5-0 start and they are clearly the team to beat in AA this season. At this time, Johnson has run for 603 yards on just 52 carries and he has scored nine touchdowns.
Winning is the only way at Buford, so Johnson does not want that success to change on the next level. That is one thing that he is really looking for in a program.
"Of course I want to win in college," he stated. "I want to play for a big program that wins big games and not one that is 5-5 every year. Winning is very important to me."
