PT's Column: Breaking down FSU's loss

Saturday afternoon's loss to Georgia Tech was tough to take but it was a lot more than one mistake at the end that led to the Seminoles second loss of the season. The positive taken from the game in Atlanta was the resiliency of this team. They kept fighting and competing until the end. The kids played their hearts out and had an opportunity to win the game at the end. There were players making plays on both sides of the ball to try to come from behind on the road in a hostile environment. Another positive coming out of the game was the stellar play of freshman running back Jermaine Thomas. Thomas showed great speed and vision, but I thought his greatest attribute in the game was his balance. There were carries where he was hit, bounced off, ran through tackles and kept going. He has the breakaway speed and looks like he could develop into a complete package at running back.
