Following the Future: Trojan Commits

Saturday afternoon at the Coliseum, USC posted their third shutout of the season, beating the Washington Huskies 56-0.

While the Trojans managed to drop in the BCS rankings this week, six Trojan commits managed to stay undefeated on the season. That includes Chris Metcalf who had 14 tackles in his latest triumph.

  • Matt Barkley - 6-foot-3, 225-pounds quarterback

    Mater Dei 57, Santa Margarita 28: Matt Barkley had 228 yards passing and two touchdowns as the Monarchs go 3-0 in Trinity League play.

    Mater Dei (6-2) will play St. John Bosco Friday

  • Randall Carroll - 5-foot-11, 175-pound wide receiver

    Cathedral 36, Bosco Tech 17: Randall Carroll had for receptions for 84 yards. He was also credited with his first interception on the year. Carroll announced last week that he will be taking official visits to Texas Tech Nov. 8 and Cal Nov. 22.

    Cathedral (8-0) will play Harvard-Westlake next Friday.

  • Vontaze Burfict - 6-foot-2, 240-pound linebacker

    Corona Centennial 42, J.W. North 19: Vontaze Burfict adds 11 tackles to his season total of 77 for the year. His top two college choices remain USC and Arizona State.

    Centennial (8-0) plays Santiago next.

  • Patrick Hall - 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete

    St. Bonnies 51, Santa Barbara 21: Hall scored both a rushing and receiving touchdown on just a few touches. Hall also unofficially visited USC this weekend.

    With two games left on the season, the Seraphs (7-1) will host Dos Pueblos next week

  • T.J. McDonald - 6-foot-2, 207-pound safety

    Edison 47, Hoover 15: Edison High School is in the midst of a grade changing scandal. An unidentified player was said to have missed two-thirds of his classes, but still received an 'A'. No word on who it is, but USCFootball.com will keep you posted on the latest.
