LB Ajagbe a top BC target

Coconut Grove (Fla.) Ransom Everglades is home to one of Florida's most talented juniors in linebacker Gideon Ajagbe. The 6-foot-2, 197-pound elite talent holds offers from Boston College and others, and the Eagles have made their interest clear. Does BC have a shot with him?

While Ajagbe has just about all the talent a prospect his age could want, he isn't satisfied and he isn't about to take credit for what his team has accomplished. Humility can be a rare thing when it comes to talented prospects, but it's a quality Ajagbe certainly has.

"As a team we started off strong then we dropped off more towards the end," Ajagbe explained. "Right now we're 5-4.

"I've played alright. Most of the plays I make are because of my teammates. I've made good plays throughout the season but that's a result of my teammates working hard with me."

On the season Ajagbe has rushed for more than 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns on offense while recording 50 tackles on the defensive side of the ball.

He currently holds offers from Boston College, Florida State, South Florida, Central Florida and FIU, and he is entertaining interest from some of the other big boys in the college football world.

While he said his two favorites are currently Florida and Central Florida, he's keeping an open mind about the recruiting process.

"I'm really proud of all the offers I've received from these schools. I think they're all good schools and good programs. It can be tough to tell them apart sometimes."

Where do the Eagles fit into the equation?

"I like Boston College because I love how they play defense. I love everything about the school. I like them and I definitely have some kind of interest in them, but probably not quite as much as UCF or UF right now. I do like them, though."

Ajagbe has run the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds and has a 35-inch vertical leap.
