Neuheisel meets the press

The Bruins will have the day off and resume practice (closed) on Saturday. It was another, high energy day at practice that ended with the scout teams scrimmaging once again and like the day before the older players enjoyed watching the future of the program go at it. As always UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel fielded questions from the media after the session was over.

Neuheisel: "Good practice today, it was a good spirited practice and as we did yesterday we finished with our young players playing against each other, which is always fun.

"We have a bunch of donors as you can see. These are our scholarship donors, the people that have given a significant amount of money to the program to endow scholarships, so this is an evening where they get to break bread with our kids and meet the guys whose names are on those scholarships.

"It is a big evening for us. Everyone will congregate over at the training table here in just a short while."

Will it be the normal training table meal?

Neuheisel: "Hopefully we will embellish a little. We might even give them forks (laughter) and mix in some silverware."
