Vinson's Recruiting Taking Off

As scholarship numbers around the country grow tighter it seems that schools can't help but try and find room for one of the nation's biggest offensive tackles. Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna C.C. three-star lineman Jeff Vinson was once just a name in the Rivals.com network but since picking up an offer from Oklahoma also now holds offers from Rutgers, South Florida, and South Carolina.

In fact he may be taking his second official visit this weekend, but the junior college target has the same concerns as every other college student next week.

"We just wrapped up the season and played our bowl game in Minnesota. I played real well and now I got finals next week," Vinson said. "I should be ready (for finals), because I'm prepared, I got the weekend to study too. I'm going to get my study on.

"I had a visit scheduled for Rutgers. I'm trying to get through at least three days of classes. So if it's too much I won't take it. Coach said I could reschedule it though."
