Kansas to be tested Saturday

Bill Self's Kansas Jayhawks (9-3; 0-0) needed a convincing win after a loss to Arizona that saw them give up a lead at the half. In came Albany, who fell in Lawrence, Kan., 79-43. Sophomore Cole Aldrich had a monster game for the Jayhawks, which was a positive sign for his team heading into Saturday match up versus Tennessee (9-2; 0-0), who is riding a three-game winning streak. There is a slim chance that JUCO transfer Mario Little may see his first action on the court this season. Either way, the Jayhawks must be prepared for a battle against one of the nation's most athletic teams. Tip is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. CST in Allen Fieldhouse.

Around Christmas time, the Kansas Jayhawks have historically turned the proverbial corner under Bill Self's watch. In the past, his younger teams have used the extra practice time to become a more cohesive unit as conference play approaches.
