Hudson talks official visit and MLB draft
Considered the #1 baseball prospect and ranked as the #2 football player in the state of Washington, Oregon State commit Kyrell Hudson (6-0, 185, 4.5) of Vancouver (WA) Evergreen took the short drive down to Corvallis for his official visit this past weekend.
Hudson, a commit who we haven't heard much from this year, indicated he had a nice time on his trip.
"It was really good," said Hudson. "I enjoyed it a lot."
When asked to rate his visit on a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the best, Hudson didn't hesitate.
"I'd give it a 10," said Hudson. "I like the family atmosphere. Mike Riley really stresses that."
James Rodgers was Hudson's player-host for the weekend. It was the first time he had met Rodgers and, from the sounds of it, they hit it off.
"I hung out with James Rodgers," said Hudson. "I got along real well with James. His brother Jacquizz was there too and we all hung out."
One of the events on the agenda was the basketball game against the Washington Huskies. It was an ugly loss and Hudson didn't deny that.
"The Beavers need some help (in basketball)," laughed Hudson. "Dang!"
