Dorsey is picking up offers

In the fall, Tyler (Texas) John Tyler defensive tackle Ashton Dorsey leads the Lion defense on the gridiron. He registered 50 tackles, three sacks, 20 tackles for loss and two blocked field goals last season en route to earning all-district, all-East-Texas honors and all-state honors. But in the winter, you'll find Dorsey coming off the bench on John Tyler's basketball team. He is a key component for the 17-8 Lions, who are playing Sulphur Springs this Saturday and Bryan in the first round of the playoffs next week in Fairfield.

Due to basketball games and practices that he often take up his weekends, the 6-foot-3, 274-pound Dorsey has only been on one unofficial visit so far this year - a junior day at Texas A&M, where his brother Adren Dorsey is currently a freshman on the team. Even so, he has been hearing from a number of schools.
