Cobbs Is Open to All

Since the shocking decision of Robert Meachem in February of 2003, Oklahoma has gone a perfect six-for-six in landing's top player within state lines. While some of those six have been hard fought battles, most believed that the players would eventually end up as Sooners. However, it's hard to say the same for Tulsa Central's Demarco Cobbs in the early going.

The 6-foot-1, 198-pound receiver has talked about one out of state powerhouse after another in recent weeks. And to aid to Oklahoma's uphill battle Cobbs holds offers from the likes of USC, Texas, Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Florida, and many others.

That being said the figured No. 1 player in Oklahoma for the class of 2010 was in Norman on Saturday to take in Oklahoma's big Bedlam match-up as well as spending some time at a Sooner football practice.

"Everything was pretty cool, I enjoyed myself. Being at the practice and everything and being at the basketball game," Cobbs said. "I got a better feel for [Jay Norvell] and I got to watch the offense and see how they operate and see the tempo as far as practice goes and everything."
