Bruins have eyes for Texan
The Bruins historically have had good success with prospects from the Lone Star State. Once again they are beginning to make their recruiting presence felt in the abundantly rich in football talent state of Texas.
Another player the Bruins have identified as scholie worth from the state of Texas is linebacker Shaun Lewis (6-1, 200, 4.5) from Missouri City (Texas) Hightower.
UCLA is not alone in their admiration for Lewis. They are joined by schools such as Stanford, Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Miami.
UCLA however may have a secret weapon at their disposal.
"I just talked to (wide receivers) Coach Reggie Moore and he wants me to call tomorrow so I can talk to all of UCLA's coaches," Lewis said. "My dad and Coach Lewis went and played high school football together at Houston (Texas) Madison together."
