One third of spring is in the books

Though the team is suffering through the usual nicks and nagging injuries that come with spring ball. They are moving forward and displaying good effort.

The competition is very intense at the running back position and is only going to heat up as spring ball progresses. The offensive line is beginning to show some life, but is still far from being a finished product and there is still a lot of development to do.

All in all, it appears that besides the nagging injuries, UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel is pleased with the progress being made this spring.

Neuheisel: "I was pleased again with practice. Unfortunately we are getting nicked with a few nagging injuries, which are bothersome. Cory Harkey got a little hamstring today. I don't if the weather turning cold caused it and we will see how soon we can get him back. We talked about Chane Moline yesterday so we have to get those guys back as soon as possible. Kevin Prince was really sore today so we decided to rest it and take it easy with him and hopefully he will be back full go on Thursday. I think that was it. It looked we might have had a little nick with Damien Holmes right there at the end. I will have to wait and see on him. Overall I am very pleased with the effort at one third of the way through."
