Saunders thinks he is nearing the finish line

For some time now it has seemed that San Antonio Madison three-star safety Tommie Saunders was on the verge of a decision and though the 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect is hoping to hear final word from a few other schools he says he is still inching closer to a decision.

Saunders, who already holds offers from Oklahoma, LSU, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Kansas, and Missouri, is awaiting final word from a pair of Los Angeles area programs.

"Thing are going well. I'm trying to get a few looks from another few schools. I'm just waiting to see how it goes. I'm trying to get at USC right now and hopefully UCLA," Saunders said.

"Aaron Green has been down there a couple of times and Nate Askew is from there and they tell me things that I like.

"I sent them my highlight tape a couple of weeks ago and I haven't heard anything so I may go ahead and drop them."
