Arizona athlete wants to visit UCLA

Three-star athlete prospect Keanu Nelson (5-11, 165, 4.49) from Tucson (Ariz.) Sabino has the ability to make plays in a variety of ways. On offense, he's a threat running the football and he's a clutch receiver. Defensively he's a lockdown corner, but that's not all. Nelson is also a deadly punt return man.

As a receiver, Nelson had 21 receptions for 480 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 22.9 yards per catch. He also picked up 571 yards on the ground and seven more touchdowns while averaging 7.6 yards per rush. His offensive performance saw him earn first-team all-region as a junior.

Nelson was also an all-state selection as a punt return man after accounting for 443 return yards while averaging 26.1 yards per punt return.

On the recruiting front, Nelson has offers from Arizona, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Washington State, BYU, Colorado State, San Diego State, Colorado, Nebraska, Idaho and Vandy.

"I would like to visit both Stanford and UCLA," Nelson said. "I want to visit Stanford because its Stanford. It's like the Ivy League on the west coast.

"UCLA has the whole thing going on," Nelson said. "They are great, both academically and athletically."

Nelson attended UCLA's spring game in April.
