Bruins in hunt for four-star
The Pac-10 Conference has been very good to four-star outside linebacker Tony Jefferson. Of the 29 total offers he has received to date, nine have come from the Pac-10. Cal-Berkeley is the only one that has not offered him yet. He likes the conference, as it is close to his home Chula Vista, Calif., but he has firm ideas on why they are one of the top conferences in the nation.
"As far as prestigious-wise, in my opinion, I think they are the second strongest," Jefferson said in reference to the Pac-10. "I think the SEC is the strongest, but, for academics, besides the Ivy League, they come in second. The Pac-10 is a real good league."
The UCLA Bruins are one of the top schools to make a bid for the quick 6-foot-0, 200-pound linebacker from Chula Vista (Calif.) Eastlake.
"They are real high on my list right now," Jefferson said about the Bruins. "I have a good relationship with all of the coaches. They are nice, honest people and my best friend got accepted there."
