Williams makes five for Pitt

Pitt's commitment list for the class of 2010 grew to five on Thursday when Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt wide receiver Salath Williams announced at his high school that he had chosen the Panthers.

Williams, 6'4" 185, picked Pitt over "15 or 16" offers, a list that included Rutgers, Iowa, Purdue, Syracuse, Temple, Connecticut, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, and Michigan State. But the decision to go with the Panthers came two weeks ago when Williams was talking with some former McDevitt stars who have made their names as college players at Pitt.
