Flournoy off to good start

The past four years, the No. 1 on offense belonged to Patrick Turner. At 6'5'' and 220 pounds, he wasn't hard to miss.

As the new No. 1, De'Von Flournoy wants to make sure you see him wearing the number as well. Although it is a little tougher to see the 6-foot, 180-pound freshman wide receiver when he's standing on the sideline, picking out the number on the field is pretty easy.

As he demonstrated in Monday night's scrimmage at the Coliseum, Flournoy is the guy running around defenders on his way to the end zone.

"He's running the wrong way, going backwards," head coach Pete Carroll said when describing Flournoy's 53-yard touchdown reception. "And the coaches are all yelling 'no, no, no, no.' Then it's 'yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.'"
