Did Miller make a decision?

There has been plenty of speculation that Canton (Ohio) McKinley defensive end Steve Miller could commit to Ohio State over the weekend. Despite a great visit to the 'Shoe the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder did not pull the trigger, but was extremely impressed by the scene at the Horseshoe.

"It was really good man," Miller said. "It was loud and I had fun."

Miller has proven to be a young man of few words through the early stages of his recruitment but the message that he delivers is straight to the point.

"I still really like Ohio State," Miller said. "I did not commit and am not ready to decide yet."

Miller is already into double digit offers including schools from the left and the right coasts. But it has always seemed that Miller may favor playing somewhere closer to home and where his roots are. Is there any sort of timeframe as to when Miller would like to make a decision. With so much smoke indicating a quick decision could things just be an inevitability?

"I think that I will do it before my senior year," Miller said. "But it could still be a couple of months."

But if Miller were to commit sooner rather than later it would not come as a shock to anyone that follows high school recruiting closely. Quarterback Braxton Miller (no relation) has played around saying that both Millers could end up on the same team at some point.

"I always have felt good about Ohio State," Miller said. "The game just kept it all good."

Even with Ohio State holding a perceived lead don't expect other teams to just lie down and let the future blue-chipper just walk over to the Buckeyes.

"Notre Dame is working really hard with me too," Miller said. "We will just see how it goes."

Despite a great visit most of the recruits felt that Ohio State had positioned itself in a spot to pull off the home upset.

"They had a good chance to win it," Miller said. "USC is a good team and O-State played really hard out there."

But everyone who follows recruiting should keep an eye on this one because it may not take very long for Stevie to become the first of two potential Millers in the class of 2011 for the Bucks.
