Hot 11: Michigan

John Clay's 151 yards rushing and Scott Tolzien's five total touchdowns helped Wisconsin score more points against Michigan that it ever had. As a result, the Badgers enjoyed a 45-24 win over the Wolverines. Now, heading into UW's final conference game, it's time for the popular weekly feature: The Hot 11. The eight installment of the 2009 regular season is based on momentum and individual play this season. One bad game won't necessarily move a player off, but it could cause a player to slide down the board as new players start to emerge.

By no means is the list perfect, that is why BadgerBlitz.com encourages everyone to head over to The Badgers' Den to offer their own opinions.

Rank Player The Word Last Game
1 John Clay, RB Clay became the 13th Badger in school history to topple the 1,000-yard mark in a season. He is the Big Ten's leading rusher and arguably the conference's leading candidate for offensive player of the year. 1
2 Nick Toon, WR Toon made it a point leading into the Michigan game that he expects to be great on a week-by-week basis. Now, after two impressive performances in a row, he is showing people how he backs up his words. 2
3 O'Brien Schofield, DE Schofield continues to have just an absolutely stellar senior campaign. Against Michigan he tallied seven more tackles, one for loss and half a sack. 3
4 Jaevery McFadden, WLB McFadden logged 2.5 TFL's during Saturday's win and was a force through. He consistently made plays on the ball and brought runners down when he got his hands on them. As this season has progressed, so has McFadden. 6
5 Scott Tolzien, QB At first, it looked as though Tolzien was going to struggle against Michigan's very complicated coverage packages. But, he turned around the slow start and threw four touchdown passes and snuck one in at the goal line. 7
6 Chris Borland, SLB Since taking over for an injured Mike Taylor a couple of weeks ago, Borland has been the team's leading tackler. With his 11-tackle performance Saturday, it's no wonder why. 4
7 Garrett Graham, TE After a couple of quiet weeks, Graham finally got going again in the reception department. He tied Toon for the most receptions on the team (5) and finished with 62 yards and a touchdown. N/A
8 J.J. Watt, DE Watt only had three tackles, but his blocked field goal try in the second quarter was a big momentum shift for the Badgers. 8
9 Lance Kendricks, TE Kendricks only had one reception but he made it count when he reached for the pylon and was granted a touchdown. 9
10 Jeff Stehle, DT In his final game at Camp Randall Stadium as a player, Stehle made a major impact. On back-to-back plays early in the game, the senior logged a sack and tackle-for-loss. N/A
11 Isaac Anderson, WR Though Toon stole the spotlight in Saturday's win, Anderson also put together a solid effort. By the end, he had four catches for 65 yards. N/A
