Porter to Join DeMatteo at Hawaii-Mainland All Star Bowl

It was a tough weekend for Colin Porter and the boys of the Bothell Blue Train. What a great effort they gave on that field in the Tacoma Dome. Never have we seen so many people so invested into the process of winning the State Championship.

This was not to be however as they went down to Skyline 31-26 in a wild game. The Cougars were visibly upset after this loss as they had given so much to this effort.

"This was the greatest thing I have ever been a part of. These guys are my life and we are a family. I could not have asked for anything more. It hurts to come up just a little short," said Porter after the game.

Porter is a massive 6'5" 315 pound Offensive Linemen who moved to Bothell this year from Redmond. He most likely will end up as a huge offensive guard who has an outside chance at becoming an offensive tackle at Washington where he is committed. He already has the size and nastiness to compete at the next level.

One thing we could offer Porter was a shot at another game and to represent his team. So he has received an official invite to play in the Mainland Versus Hawaii All Star Game. The Game will be December 12th in Honolulu and will feature the best of Hawaii and Samoa against a team of some of the top recruits from the mainland.

Porter is 90% on attending. If he does he will join Skyline Linebacker Anthony DeMatteo and will represent the Northwest proudly.

The game is put on by Sports Link Inc. who also manage and put on the Army All American Game.

In this game he will see some of the biggest and most athletic linemen he has ever faced. That is just what he wants.

"I welcome the challenge. The better the competition the more I like it. So that will be great with me. This is a good way to end it."

We wish Colin Porter and all the players and coaches of the Bothell Cougars a great Holiday and all our best for your future success! We were happy to nominate him for this great event where the boys will tour Oahu and make some great friendships along the way.
