All-American database

The University of Alabama's six players named to the first-team All-Americans by the Associated Press on Tuesday was a school record, but also meant that sophomore running Mark Ingram and junior linebacker Rolando McClain were unanimous All-American selections.

To be considered a unanimous All-American a player must be selected first-team by the American Football Coaches Association, Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, The Sporting News and Walter Camp Foundation.

The consensus selection is the player with the highest number of points at each position (three points for first team, two points for second team and one point for third team), by the same organizations.

Senior nose tackle Terrence Cody, senior guard Mike Johnson and senior cornerback Javier Arenas were all consensus first-team selections.

Here were the All-American selections by the five organizations.
