Rivals.com expert predictions: Big 12

MORE: Big 12 Preview

We asked our five football writers to answer a few questions about the Big 12, some serious and some light-hearted. Here are their responses:

WHO WINS THE LEAGUE?
Olin Buchanan: Nebraska
Tom Dienhart: Oklahoma
David Fox: Oklahoma
Mike Huguenin: Texas
Steve Megargee: Oklahoma
WHICH TEAM WILL BE THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT?
Olin Buchanan: Oklahoma State
Tom Dienhart: Missouri
David Fox: Texas A&M
Mike Huguenin: Nebraska
Steve Megargee: Oklahoma State
IF I WERE {BLANK}, I'D REALLY BE WORRIED.
Olin Buchanan: Nebraska QB Zac Lee. He has to hold off Cody Green and Taylor Martinez to keep his starting job. Then, if the Huskers don't live up to expectations, he'll probably get most the blame.
Tom Dienhart: Nebraska QB Zac Lee. If he (or whoever beats him out) doesn't provide steady quarterback play, this season of great promise could fizzle fast.
David Fox: Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe. He should really be worried because the Big 12 might not be as stable as he's saying it is. The balance of power is tilted southward more than it was a year ago. If the SEC, Pac-10 and/or Big Ten starts sniffing around again, will he be able to hold the league together?
Mike Huguenin: Colorado coach Dan Hawkins. His job is hanging by a thread, and if the Buffaloes don't get to the postseason, that thread will be cut.
Steve Megargee: Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy. Oklahoma State didn't quite live up to the unusually high expectations last season and doesn't look nearly as imposing this season. It wouldn't be a surprise to see the Cowboys fall to fifth in the South, which could put Gundy on the hot seat.
