Tide retains top spot in enrolled rankings

RANKINGS: 2011 Enrolled Team Rankings Top 50

Now that the Class of 2011 is in school and ready to make an impact this season, Rivals.com has recalculated its final team recruiting rankings to account for prospects that did not make it to campus for the 2011 season.

The Alabama Crimson Tide held on to the top spot in the team rankings after getting their entire 2011 recruiting class enrolled in school.

Oklahoma had the steepest drop inside the top 20, falling from No. 14 to No. 20 after not getting two of its 17-member class to campus for the 2011 season, including five-star WR Trey Metoyer

Here is a look at the enrolled top 20:

1. Alabama
Signing Day Rank: 1
Biggest Loss: None
Buzz: Alabama welcomed its entire class to campus when receivers Danny Woodson and Duron Carter recently joined the rest of the group on the field. Five-star RB Demetrius Hart is working his way back from a knee injury and might not play this season, but five-star OT Cyrus Kouandjio and others will.
2. Florida State
Signing Day Rank: 2
Biggest Loss: DT Terry Bell
Buzz: Freshman defenders Timmy Jernigan, Giorgio Newberry, Nick Waisome and Karlos Williams have already made an impression on the Seminoles' depth chart. Defensive tackle Terry Bell will have to take the JUCO route and work to get eligible and healthy.
3. USC
Signing Day Rank: 4
Biggest Loss: DE Steve Dillon
Buzz: The Trojans managed to get almost all of their large 2011 class enrolled. Receiver Marqise Lee, OG Aundrey Walker and LB Lamar Dawson are among the names that should be on the field early and often.
4. LSU
Signing Day Rank: 6
Biggest Loss: WR Alonzo Lewis
Buzz: The veteran LSU squad won't need a ton of immediate help from its talented freshman class, but five-star DT Anthony Johnson, who brings with him the nickname 'Freak', is well on his way to becoming a star.
5. Texas
Signing Day Rank: 3
Biggest Loss: DT Quincy Russell
Buzz: The Longhorns expect contributions early from DB Quandre Diggs. The offense could get a boost from freshman WR Jaxon Shipley and running backs Malcolm Brown and Joe Bergeron.
6. Georgia
Signing Day Rank: 5
Biggest Loss: DT Chris Mayes
Buzz: The Dawgs were hoping for added depth from LB Kent Turene and DT Chris Mayes that won't come this year. They should get some immediate help from RB Isaiah Crowell, WR Malcolm Mitchell and others.
7. Auburn
Signing Day Rank: 7
Biggest Loss: None
Buzz: Auburn welcomed its entire class to campus and added a four-star running back when Mike Blakely decided to transfer from Florida. Blakely will have to sit out this season but a several newcomers have already cracked the two-deep and Reese Dismukes is slated to start at center.
8. Clemson
Signing Day Rank: 8
Biggest Loss: OT Isaiah Battle
Buzz: Defensive lineman Kevin Dodd's arrival at Clemson will be delayed as he puts in a season of work at Hargrave Military Academy. The Tigers will get plenty of help from the newcomers on defense that did make it to campus and five-star WR Sammy Watkins has played his way into the starting lineup on offense.
9. Oregon
Signing Day Rank: 9
Biggest Loss: None
Buzz: Oregon got everyone to campus and five-stars De'Anthony Thomas and Colt Lyerla are among the freshmen that will be used in the Ducks' high-powered offense this year.
10. Notre Dame
Signing Day Rank: 10
Biggest Loss: None
Buzz: The strength of the 2011 class for Notre Dame is in the front seven on defense and Aaron Lynch, Stephon Tuitt, Ishaq Williams, Troy Niklas and Ben Councell have put themselves in position to compete for playing time.
11. Ohio State
Signing Day Rank: 11
Biggest Loss: QB Cardale Jones
Buzz: The Buckeyes lost linebacker Ejuan Price to Pitt but will get QB Cardale Jones back after a year at Fork Union Military Academy. Eight freshmen have cracked the two-deep for the season opener.
12. Tennessee
Signing Day Rank: 13
Biggest Loss: S Pat Martin
Buzz: Safety Pat Martin left the program after going through fall camp. The Tennessee defense will have will have a youthful look, though, with freshman linebackers A.J. Johnson and Curt Maggitt and cornerback Justin Coleman all listed in the starting lineup for the opener.
13. Cal
Signing Day Rank: 17
Biggest Loss: S Jordan Morgan
Buzz: Safety Jordan Morgan's enrollment is expected to be delayed by a semester. The rest of the class is on campus and will be counted on for depth at several positions this year.
14. South Carolina
Signing Day Rank: 18
Biggest Loss: TE Jerell Adams
Buzz: Three Gamecock signees didn't make it to campus but the most important signee has already made his presence felt. Top prospect Jadeveon Clowney is eligible and the South Carolina defense looks to benefit greatly as a result.
15. Florida
Signing Day Rank: 12
Biggest Loss: RB Mike Blakely
Buzz: The Gators lost two four-star signees to transfer as Mike Blakely left for Auburn and Javares McRoy decided to start over at Texas Tech. The Florida secondary will get some immediate help from Marcus Robinson and De'Ante Saunders.
16. Texas Tech
Signing Day Rank: 20
Biggest Loss: DE Desimon Green
Buzz: North Carolina's loss was Texas Tech's gain when four-star DT Delvon Simmons decided to make a switch after signing day. He joins one of the best recruiting classes ever at Tech.
17. North Carolina
Signing Day Rank: 16
Biggest Loss: DE Delvon Simmons
Buzz: The post-signing day defection of Simmons was the last of the bad news for UNC with this recruiting class. The play of JUCO transfer DT Sylvester Williams has helped soften that blow.
18. Ole Miss
Signing Day Rank: 19
Biggest Loss: LB Marcus Mayers
Buzz: Linebacker Marcus Mayers is headed to JUCO , but freshman receivers Donte Moncrief, Nick Brassell and Tobias Singleton appear ready to help the Rebel offense.
19. Nebraska
Signing Day Rank: 15
Biggest Loss: ATH Bubba Starling
Buzz: The Nebraska class took a couple of hits with the loss of Rivals100 CB Charles Jackson and Bubba Starling's decision to sign with the Kansas City Royals. Jackson hopes to join the team in the Spring.
20. Oklahoma
Signing Day Rank: 14
Biggest Loss: WR Trey Metoyer
Buzz: Five-star Trey Metoyer and four-star Jordan Wade didn't make it this year, but the Sooners hope Wade can get in school this Spring and that Metoyer gets there after a season at Hargrave Military Academy.
