TheWolverine.com Preseason All-Big Ten First Team
QB Braxton Miller - Ohio State
DE Tyler Scott - Northwestern
Reigning Big Ten Player of the Year had 3,310 yards of total offense and accounted for 28 TDs in 2012.
NU's defensive MVP a year ago, Scott is the top returning pass rusher in the Big Ten with nine sacks in 2012.
RB Venric Mark - Northwestern
DT Ra'Shede Hageman - Minnesota
Big Ten's top returning rusher had 1,366 yards on the ground and scored 13 touchdowns.
The 300-pounder amassed six sacks among 35 tackles last season and is a big reason why the Gophers' defense improved.
RB Ameer Abdullah - Nebraska
DT Beau Allen - Wisconsin
Should improve upon the 1,137 yards he totaled in 2012 now that he's Nebraska's No. 1 ball carrier.
They make them bigger in Wisconsin, and Allen comes in at 333 pounds. He's more than just size, though, with 13.0 career TFL.
TE Kyle Carter - Penn State
DE Adolphus Washington - Ohio State
All-Big Ten first-team performer had 36 receptions for 453 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore.
Represents a crop of rising standouts at defensive end that includes Michigan's Frank Clark also.
WR Allen Robinson - Penn State
LB Max Bullough - Michigan State
Was the only Big Ten receiver to eclipse 1,000 yards (1,013) on 77 catches, scoring 11 times.
The Spartans can gamble defensively up front because Bullough is in the middle cleaning everything up, to the tune of 223 career stops.

WR Jeremy Gallon - Michigan
LB Ryan Shazier - Ohio State
Five-game stint with Devin Gardner at QB would equate to 74 grabs, 1,226 yards and seven TDs.
No one may have been more versatile in 2012, with Shazier racking up 115 tackles, eight sacks and 11 pass breakups.

OL Taylor Lewan - Michigan LB Jake Ryan - Michigan
Consensus All-American should be the top offensive lineman off the board in next April's Draft.
Due back from injury byOctober, Ryan is a difference-maker, notching 16 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks last fall.
OL Spencer Long - Nebraska
CB Brad Roby - Ohio State
First-team All-Big Ten performer has started 27 consecutive games for the Cornhuskers.
The All-American corner tied an Ohio State single-season record with 19 passes defended, including two picks, as a sophomore.
OL Ryan Groy - Wisconsin
CB Darqueze Dennard - Michigan State
Next in a long line of Badger behemoths that will pave the way for tailback James White.
First-team All-Big Ten performer last season, the senior had 52 tackles and three interceptions.
OL John Urschel - Penn State
S Isaiah Lewis - Michigan State
A 4.0 student, the Penn State guard helped the Nittany Lions yield just 14 sacks a year ago.
Perhaps the top playmaker in any secondary in the conference, Lewis has six career interceptions for the Green and White.
OL Jack Mewhort - Ohio State
S Ibraheim Campbell - Northwestern
With linemate Andrew Norwell going down with an injury, Mewhort becomes even more critical.
In two seasons a starter, he's racked up 189 tackles and 16 pass breakups for an emerging Northwestern defense.
PK Brendan Gibbons - Michigan
P Mike Sadler - Michigan State
In a very crowded field, Gibbons stands out because of his clutch game-winning kicks the past two years.
With U-M's Will Hagerup suspended, Sadler is the top returning punter, averaging 43.3 yards on 79 punts last season.
PR Venric Mark - Northwestern
KR Jordan Cotton - Iowa
Mark was good for an astounding 18.7 yards per return, and scored twice, on 75- and 82-yard returns.
The lone returnman to return a kickoff for a TD last season (92 yards), Cotton averaged a Big Ten-best 28.2 yards per opportunity.
