Game Wrap: Breaking down Michigan's win over Akron

Michigan edged Akron yesterday 28-24 in a game that was never supposed to be that close (the Wolverines were a 35-point favorite). TheWolverine.com has our reaction to the narrow victory, including columns from John Borton, Chris Balas and Michael Spath.

Borton starts off with his game story and then opines that Saturday's game was never supposed to go like that.

Balas has his Notes, Quotes and Observations and in his report card was not kind to the Maize and Blue.

In his Post-game Q&A, Spath said the lack of a pass rush is disappointing while he also details QB Devin Gardner's disappointing decision-making.

Staff writer Andy Reid points out that the defense is allowing far too many big plays and breaks down the best of the best in his Five and Five column.

And we ask you, the fan, what is your biggest concern after three games in this week's post-game poll.

We wrap our coverage as Balas and former Wolverine Doug Skene sit down for a podcast.
