By The Numbers: Michigan a different team on the road
Michigan has been two teams over the past three years - one at home, where U-M is 19-1, and one on the road, in which the Wolverines have gone 6-8. The differences offensively and defensively are glaring.
On the road, the Maize and Blue have averaged just 296.3 yards of offense per game and 22.7 points, a difference of 154.5 yards and 16.5 points.
Defensively, the Maize and Blue have been more consistent, allowing 318.2 yards (actually 8.9 yards fewer than at home) and 22.4 points (4.9 more than at home).
