FSU lands a big addition to offensive line
Florida State continues to build a strong offensive line class with Tuesday's commitment from Abdul Bello. The standout tackle prospect from Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) called the Seminole coaching staff on Tuesday morning to tell them he was ready to jump on board. Bello chose the 'Noles over offers from Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Michigan.
Florida State's recruiting is starting to heat up in the trenches. Last Sunday, the Noles grabbed the nation's No. 1 JUCO defensive tackle, D.J. Jones.
Bello's commitment comes after he took part in last week's Jimbo Fisher camp. He spent two days on campus and worked directly with offensive line coach Rick Trickett. The 'Noles' offensive line coach was a big reason for his decision.
"It was really good. I learned a lot from Coach Trickett like using my hands more with the punch and controlling the block consistently. He's so passionate and it makes me want to work even harder," Bello said shortly after the Fisher camp. "I really like it here. But my main thing was getting to work with Coach Trickett. I've also spent a lot of time with Chidi Okeke-Valentine (2016 offensive line target). We are friends from Nigeria, so we are pretty close and we talk all the time."
Bello is commitment No. 15 for FSU for the recruiting class of 2015. He is ranked as the No. 32 offensive tackle in the country and No. 50 in the state.
