Dunbar is a Seminole

Florida State's recruiting success in South Florida continues. Late Tuesday Deerfield Beach's Emmanuel Dunbar told the Sun Sentinel newspaper that he had committed to the Seminoles over Oklahoma and N.C. State. The four-star defensive lineman called FSU head coach Bobby Bowden Monday night to give him the good news.

Dunbar becomes the 25th member of the 'Noles' 2004 recruiting class. He also joins Aaron Jones as the second interior defensive lineman to commit to the Tribe. He told Warchant.com last week that FSU is recruiting him to play defensive tackle instead of defensive end, where he is rated by Rivals.com.

Dunbar, the No. 12 rated strong-side defensive end, earned first team all-state honors for class 6A as a senior after racking up 112 tackles and 16 sacks. In January he was invited to represent Florida in the 2004 CaliFlorida Bowl and also played in the Dade-Broward all-star game.

Dunbar is close on his grades but is still a few points shy on the ACT of earning a qualifying test score.
