EA Sports Elite 11 recap of Willie Tuitama
Willie Tuitama reminds us a little of Anaheim Angles center fielder Garrett Anderson. He's so quiet and reserved that you almost take him for granted but boy can he play. At the EA SPORTS Elite 11 Quarterback camp, Tui had a great showing and was easily one of the top quarterbacks in attendance.Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary's quarterback
Here's a final, post-camp recap of the Arizona bound signal caller:
'Tui' is kind of a quiet assassin. He appears almost shy and unassuming but underneath, there's definitely a fire burning inside. The signal caller had one of the top three or four arms in the camp, has a quick release and didn't have a bad workout one day all week long. His consistency is one of his biggest strengths as well as his ability to throw the ball through a wall. The counselors voted him the hardest worker in the camp and his strong work ethic should pay off down the line.
Tui was also very good in the chalk sessions, has a solid grasp of the passing game and reads the various coverage's very well. Mechanically, Tui has a minor flaw in his release in that he drops a little side arm on some of his passes and it affect his touch on some of the throws. Still it's very correctable and we're excited to see what the talented quarterback will do this year as well as at Arizona. In our eyes, Tui is the most talented signal caller the Cats have signed in years.
