Moosman makes his final college choice

Libertyville, Ill. four star ranked offensive guard prospect David Moosman (6-foot-5, 270 pounds) has ended his recruiting process today and gave the University of Michigan his verbal commitment.

"I just got off the phone with the Wisconsin coaches and told them that I've verballed to Michigan," Moosman said. "That was a really difficult call for me to make, because I became really good friends with the coaches at Wisconsin, but I know that I'm making the best decision for myself. I'm a solid verbal commit to Michigan."

Moosman talked about why he verballed to the Wolverines.

"I love the overall strength and conditioning program at Michigan that is second to none, plus Michigan has a great track record of developing offensive linemen. I really just felt the most at home in Ann Arbor. Michigan is just a great school, and my offensive line coach told me along time ago that when looking at schools that I should go somewhere that will challenge me as well as getting a good degree. That really says it all about my feeling for Michigan."

"I'm very glad to have the recruiting process over with. I think that the best think I did was narrow down my top schools early, because I can't imagine how crazy things could have gotten if I had 5-6 schools at the end. I basically had two schools all over me right up until the end, and it was getting pretty tough to concentrate on school."

"My family is really excited about my verbal to Michigan. My Dad said that he would have never imagined that when I was little that I would have an opportunity to play for the Wolverines. My Mom is also very happy, and even though she's an alum of Michigan State she's still very excited and supportive of me choosing Michigan."
