Redick honored again

Duke guard J.J. Redick earned his second ACC player of the week honor this season, announced today by the conference.

Redick, who scored a career-high 41 points in Saturday's 97-66 win over No. 2 Texas, is earning the award for the seventh time in his career.

The 6-4, 190-pound Roanoke, Va., senior hit on 13-of-24 from the floor, including nine-of-16 from three-point range as the top-ranked Blue Devils posted the third-largest victory margin (31 points) ever in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 match-up.

Earlier in the week, Redick had a game-high 24 points and four assists in a 72-59 win over visiting Penn. Redick leads the ACC in scoring (24.9) and three-point field goal percentage (47.1).

Duke players have already been honored three times with the weekly award, two for Redick and one for Shelden Williams.
