Boo Williams Invitational All-Tournament Team

Chris Wright led his Boo Williams Summer League team to a 67-63 win over Houston Hoops for the Boo Williams Invitational title and earned tourney MVP honors in the process.

Rivals.com National Recruiting Analyst Jerry Meyer breaks down the top performances at the tournament as we reveal the Boo Williams Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Chris Wright, Washington (D.C.) St. John's College
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 190 pounds
College choice: Undecided
MVP winner Chris Wright led his Boo Williams Summer League squad to the championship with his stingy defense, strong ball handling and scoring prowess.

Wright is a powerfully built guard who can penetrate through contact and get to any spot on the court with the ball. He can score at all three levels, at the basket, in the mid-range and beyond the arc. His strength and speed with the ball also allow him to get to the free-throw line with regularity.

Defensively, he moves very well laterally and has the strength to keep his man out of the lane. He also has the instinct to jump passing lanes and come up with steals.

Wright led Boo Williams Summer League with 19 points in the championship game.

Patrick Patterson, Huntington (W.V.)
Height: 6-foot-8
Weight: 225 pounds
College choice: Undecided
Strong and athletic, Patrick Patterson held down the middle for the Boo Williams Summer League squad.

Although he is a legitimate scoring threat, the best parts of Patterson's game are his defense and rebounding. He has the strength and size to guard the big boys in the post, and he also has the agility and foot speed to defend away from the basket.

Offensively, he can score with back to the basket with a solid jump hook, and he picks up points off offensive rebounds. In the high post, he has the ability to locate shooters on the wing and can make the dump down pass to the low post.

In the championship game he held Gary Johnson of the Houston Hoops in check and swatted 3 shots.

Gary Johnson, Houston Aldine
Height: 6-foot-7
Weight: 210 pounds
College choice: Undecided
The Houston Hoops worked their way into the championship game largely behind the efforts of Gary Johnson. A slightly undersized low post player, Johnson has an unstoppable motor, the ability to quickly get off the floor and a long reach.

Johnson picks up a number of points pursuing the ball off the offensive glass and by running the floor in transition. In the half court offense, moreover, he is a terror with his highly evolved post up game. He holds position very well in the low post and has a vast repertoire of post moves.

Defensively, he moves his feet well, keeping the ball out of post player's hands and keeping his body in front of drivers.

In the championship game, Johnson efficiently scored 15 points on 5 of 8 shooting.

Nick Calathes, Winter Park (Fla.) Lake Howell
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 175 pounds
College choice: Florida
Florida is getting a good one in combo guard Nick Calathes. For most of the weekend Calathes was the talk of the event with his regular scoring outbursts.

Along with his gaudy scoring numbers during the event, Calathes also controlled games with his heady ball handling from the point guard position. He finds the open man early and rarely over dribbles. As a scorer, Calathes can hit from deep and he is very effective in the mid-range with his floater.

Not an overwhelming presence on defense, Calathes gets the job done with his understanding of spacing and angles and with his length.

Calathes led Team Florida to the semifinals before losing to the Houston Hoops.

E'twaun Moore, East Chicago (Ind.) Central
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 170 pounds
College choice: Undecided
A solid all around backcourt player, E'twaun Moore's improved outside shot created a buzz at the event.

Moore has always been a defensive stalwart and relentless rebounder for the SYF Players. He is capable of defending every perimeter position and has a knack for coming up with the ball in crucial parts of the game.

Offensively, he is now stretching the defense with his ability to consistently hit the three-pointer. This developing shooting ability will make Moore an even more dangerous slasher to the basket.

Moore led his SYF Players team to the quarterfinals of the event before being upended in overtime by the Houston Hoops.

Tyreke Evans, Aston (Pa.) American Christian School
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 185 pounds
College choice: Undecided
As the best prospect in the event, Tyreke Evans did not disappoint as he led his Team final squad into the semifinals before running into the loaded Boo Williams Summer League squad.

A rangy combo guard with a very long reach, Evans is able to penetrate by his man at will with crafty hesitation moves and crossover dribbles. He also loves to pull up from three off his hesitation dribble. When he gets into the lane, he has superb body control and an eye for spotting the open man.

Not the quickest player laterally, Evans has very good defensive instincts and knows how to use his range to come up with steals. He is also able to dominate the defensive boards from his guard position.

In one of his strongest efforts of the tournament against the Georgia Blazers, Evans demonstrated the full extent of his abilities, racking up 21 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals.
