All-Big 12 Team: Big game hunters

The old saying goes that big-time players are at their best in big games.

Considering that criteria, there is little difficulty in identifying the members of the Rivals.com All-Big 12 basketball team. They were the ones on all those highlight reels making big shots at the end of games.

Of course, there was Texas A&M's Acie Law, who hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to beat Kansas, forced overtime and double overtime with last-second 3-pointers against Texas and hit a 3-pointer with six seconds left to forge a tie with Texas Tech.

But Texas Tech's Jarrius Jackson won that game with a jumper at the buzzer.

And there was Nebraska center Aleks Maric, who hit free throws in the final 47 seconds to lift the Cornhuskes to an overtime win over Missouri. Maric, who scored at least 22 points in five of the last seven games, ranked third in the Big 12 in scoring and second in rebounding.

Yet, they were all upstaged Texas freshman supreme Kevin Durant, who seemed to have a big game every game and set a Big 12 record with nine 30-point games while leading the conference in scoring, rebounding, three-pointers and blocked shots. He was only second in steals.
