ACC Week 7 Recap
Boston College
The Eagles improved to 7-0 for the first time since 1942 following a 27-14 victory at Notre Dame. BC has won five in a row and six of its past seven against the Fighting Irish. Matt Ryan threw for 291 yards and two TDs, and TB Andre Callender scored on two runs in the first half. BC held Notre Dame to 193 total yards and held the ball for 14 more minutes than the Irish.
Next: Oct. 25, at Virginia Tech.
Clemson
The Tigers were off last week.
Next: Saturday, vs. Central Michigan.
Duke
The Blue Devils were held to 194 total yards in suffering a 43-14 thrashing at the hands of visiting Virginia Tech. Duke kept it close early, trailing just 13-7 early in the second quarter, before the Hokies took control with three second-quarter TDs. Duke QB Thaddeus Lewis ran and passed for TDs.
Next: Oct. 27, at Florida State.
Florida State
The Seminoles were bottled up in the second half of a 24-21 loss at Wake Forest. FSU led 14-7 at halftime, but didn't score in the second half until just 17 seconds remained. FSU managed just 47 rushing yards and allowed Wake to run for 180 yards. In the second half, the Seminoles punted five times, threw two interceptions and had just 105 total yards and 74 of those came on the final drive.
Next: Saturday, vs. Miami.
Georgia Tech
Senior TB Tashard Choice ran for 204 yards on 37 carries and QB Taylor Bennett scored on two runs as the Yellow Jackets downed host Miami 17-14. Choice ran for 104 yards in the third quarter alone. It was Tech's third consecutive victory over the Hurricanes. The Yellow Jackets trailed 7-0 at halftime, but outgained UM 244-79 in the second half.

Maryland
The Terps were off last week.
Next: Saturday, vs. Virginia.
Miami
The Hurricanes lost their second ACC game in a row, likely ending any league title hopes, by falling 17-14 to visiting Georgia Tech. UM led 7-0 at halftime but managed just 79 yards of offense in the second half. It was Miami's third consecutive loss to the Yellow Jackets.
Next: Saturday, at Florida State.
North Carolina
The Tar Heels fell behind 21-3, then rallied to make things interesting in a 21-15 loss to visiting South Carolina. In the fourth quarter, T.J. Yates threw a TD pass and also ran for a score to cut into the Gamecocks' 21-3 lead. Yates threw for 285 yards as UNC outgained the Gamecocks 398-282.
Next: Oct. 27, at Wake Forest.
NC State
The Wolfpack were off last week.
Next: Saturday, at East Carolina.
Virginia
Chris Gould kicked a 19-yard field goal with 3:20 left to boost the host Cavs past Connecticut 17-16. It was Virginia's sixth consecutive victory and UConn's first loss. The Cavs committed three turnovers, and UConn converted each into points. Virginia had four sacks and held UConn to just 1-for-13 on third-down conversions and 254 total yards.
Next: Saturday, at Maryland.
Virginia Tech
Former starting QB Sean Glennon threw for 258 yards and two TDs in relief of injured starter Tyrod Taylor as the Hokies smashed host Duke 43-14. The Hokies scored 21 points in the second quarter en route to a 34-7 halftime lead. It was their seventh consecutive victory over the Blue Devils. Taylor left early in the second quarter with a sprained right ankle.
Next: Oct. 25, vs. Boston College.
Wake Forest
QB Riley Skinner threw two TD passes, the second a 35-yarder to Kenneth Moore midway through the fourth quarter to give Wake the lead for good, as the Demon Deacons knocked off visiting Florida State 24-21. Skinner's pass to Moore gave Wake a 21-14 lead, and a field goal by Sam Swank increased the advantage to 24-14 with 1:40 left in the game before FSU tacked on a TD with 17 seconds left. Wake allowed just 47 rushing yards.
Next: Saturday, at Navy.
