Gordon commits to Michigan

Michigan received a commitment today from Inkster (Mich.) four-star Cameron Gordon, a two-way standout at linebacker/safety and wide receiver. Gordon is U-M's 21st commitment from the class of 2009.

"He's excited," said Inkster head coach Greg Carter. "He got the offer only about a month ago, but the Michigan coaches have liked him for quite a while."

Gordon (6-2, 210 pounds) helped lead Inkster to the state Division III championship game, where the team dropped a 43-24 decision to East Grand Rapids. He's the No. 5 player in the state of Michigan and No. 222 in the nation.

Gordon, a one-day camper last summer, could play either side of the ball at the next level, though he's likely to start out as a wide receiver.
