California

In men's hoop, junior forward Patrick Christopher was named as the conference's player of the week.



Oregon State

In men's hoop, the Beavers lost to UCLA but upset USC to improve to 6-6 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

In men's hoop, junior guard Ben Voogd has left the team.

In football, assistant coaches Michael Gray and Robin Pflugrad will not be retained when offensive coordinator Chip Kelly succeeds Mike Bellotti as head coach.



USC

In football, defensive coordinator Nick Holt has left to become the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Washington.



Washington

In women's hoop, freshman guard Kristi Kingma is out three weeks with a high ankle sprain.



Arizona

In football, junior offensive lineman Eben Britton has declared himself eligible for the NFL draft.



UCLA

In men's hoop, the Bruins began the Pac-10 season by sweeping Oregon and Oregon State to improve to 12-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play.



WSU

In men's hoop, the Cougars lost to rival Washington to fall to 8-5 overall on the year.

In women's hoop, the Cougars lost to rival Washington to drop to 7-5 overall on the year.

In football, Wazzu added SMU to their 2009 non-conference schedule, received a national letter of intent from tight end Peter Tuitupou and a verbal commitment from offensive lineman Sebastian Valenzuela.



Arizona State

In men's hoop, the Sun Devils beat Stanford but lost to California to move to 12-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.



Stanford

In women's hoops, the Cardinal swept Arizona and Arizona State to open conference play at 2-0 and 11-3 overall.
