The Good: Hale opened some eyes with a strong week of practice at the East-West Shrine Game after not facing top competition during his career. He has a huge frame with further growth potential and good footwork. As a run blocker, he shows good quickness and explosion off the snap and displays sound technique to finish and sustain his blocks.
The Bad: As a pass blocker, Hale tends to get too high in his stance at times, making him susceptible to the bull rush and secondary moves. He has not been tested by NFL caliber pass rushers and needs work in his setup and ability to mirror and counter.
