Burlon is a healthy scratch
Junior defenseman Brandon Burlon is listed as a healthy scratch on Michigan's line chart for tonight's Frozen Four semifinal against North Dakota (8:30 p.m., ESPN2). Burlon was eager to return to the lineup after missing the past four games due to illness ...
However, it doesn't appear that he will. Head coach Red Berenson said earlier this week that while Burlon was healthy enough to play his time off may keep him out of the lineup as U-M enters its most important game of the year and cannot risk playing a skater that is rusty.
In Burlon's absence, freshman Kevin Clare will make his fourth consecutive start. Clare, 6-1, 210 pounds, has contributed two assists and is plus-12 this year. He's had an assist and is plus-1 in four postseason contest this season.
