Ruiz, Rivals.com's No. 1 center and No. 77 overall player nationally, has been high on Michigan for a long time after visiting Ann Arbor several times including for an official visit when U-M hosted Wisconsin.

He originally hails from Camden, N.J. which means he'll be joining good friends and former teammates Ron Johnson and Brad Hawkins in Ann Arbor.

Ruiz took official visits to North Carolina, Florida, Auburn, and Oklahoma, along with Michigan, before deciding that Ann Arbor was the place for him. He joins Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage four-star offensive tackle Kai-Leon Herbert, Sugarcreek (Ohio) Garaway three-star offensive tackle Joel Honigford, Darien (Conn.) three-star offensive tackle Andrew Stueber, and Oak Park (Mich.) three-star offensive tackle Ja'Raymond Hall as Michigan's offensive line commits. He will graduate in around a week and enroll at U-M in January.
