The Pylon 7v7 circuit opened up in Dallas this weekend with a highly competitive tournament that featured some of the best club teams in the South.

Here is our All-Tournament team.

Overall MVP

QB Brayden Schager, Team Grind (2021) — A little known prospect coming into the tournament, Schager put the world on notice with a dominant performance. Schager was poised, accurate and threw bomb after bomb en route to leading Team Grind to the tournament championship. Schager has just one offer from Illinois State after backing up Oklahoma signee Chandler Morris at Highland Park (Texas) High last year. That should change soon.

Offense

QB Garrett Nussmeier, Texas Flex 1 (2021) — While Schager stole the show, Nussmeier had a great weekend for Texas Flex 1. He made some high level throws and showed why he is one of the country’s most wanted underclassmen quarterbacks. The Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus product holds offers from Georgia, LSU, Penn State and others.

RB Zach Evans, Bullitt 7v7 (2022) — No, he’s not the much ballyhooed five-star prospect by the same name, but Evans could be a player to keep an eye on in the future. He was a playmaker for Bullitt 7v7 and a big reason why it made a surprise run to the championship game.

UTIL Roderick Daniels, Team Grind (2021) — Daniels was a star in the Texas high school state championships last month, and he picked up where he left off. A versatile prospect, Daniels is lethal out of the slot and can hurt you in so many different ways. The Duncanville (Texas) High product was the go-to weapon for title winner Team Grind. Daniels holds several early offers.

WR Jayleen Record, Team Grind (2021) — Just call him Mr. Deep Ball. Record has game breaking team and stretched the field for Team Grind all tournament long. Record doesn’t have any attention on the recruiting trail. The Dallas Madison product could be a hidden gem.

WR Phaizon Wilson, Team Grind (2022) — It was hard to put three wide receivers from the same club on the all-tournament team, but leaving Wilson off the list would have been a blunder. The 2022 Lancaster (Texas) High prospect made big play after big play and caught the game-winner in the semis. He holds a few early offers.

WR Quay Davis, Fast 7v7 (2021) — A former Texas commit, Davis was clearly the best recruit on the field this weekend. He opened up the tournament with a bang and constantly drew double and even triple teams. Davis is a special talent, and he is definitely worthy of his Rivals100 billing.

WR Jimmy Valsin, Flex 2 (2021) — Don’t be surprised if Valsin becomes a household name in recruiting circles. The Arlington (Texas) Bowie product has offers from Kansas and Oregon State and looked the part of a major recruit over the weekend. He won battles against some of the best defensive backs at the tournament and displayed excellent hands and route running abilities.

TE Dylan Crippen, Bridgeland (2021) — Crippen was instrumental in helping Bridgeland reach the tournament semifinals. At 6-foot-3, 244 pounds, Crippen is a big-bodied target and proved to be extremely difficult for defenses to scheme for. He has no offers but could be a spring riser.

Defense

LB Jadarius Thursby, Team Grind (2021) — The linebacker spot is a tough one to play in 7v7, but it’s hard to find someone that fills the role better than Thursby. The Duncanville (Texas) High product was the heart and soul of Team Grind’s defense. Thursby was loud and backed it up with his play. He holds a handful of offers.

DB JD Coffey, Flex 1 (2021) — Coffey is considered a top national recruit, and he proved it over the weekend. Coffey led the tournament in interceptions and was an absolute ball hawk from his safety position. The four-star prospect from Kennedale (Texas) High holds offers from the likes of Florida, Stanford and Texas.

DB Ishmael Ibraheem, Flex 1 (2021) — A four-star cornerback from Dallas Kimball, Ibraheem earned his invitation to the Under Armour All-America Game during the tournament. At 6-foot-1, 165 pounds, Ibraheem is a tall, lanky corner that took away his side of the field. He has offers from Georgia, LSU, Texas and others.

DB Bryce Anderson, Fast 7v7 (2022) — Fast 7v7 played exceptionally well on the defensive side of the ball en route to a run to the semifinals. Perhaps the best player on a loaded unit was Anderson. The LSU commit from Beaumont (Texas) West Brook had a big interception late in the tournament and always seemed to be around the football.

DB Tevin Williams, Sooner 7v7 (2021) — Williams will be a name to know on the recruiting trail soon. He was a standout on a Sooner 7v7 defense that featured some top talent from the state of Oklahoma. The Stillwater (Okla.) High product has good size at the corner position and recently notched his first offer from Texas Tech.

DB Isaiah Nwokobia, Team Grind (2021) — Nwokobia is starting to gain plenty of attention on the recruiting trail and rightfully so. He is one of the premier safety prospects in the South and a kid that simply goes out and takes care of business. The Dallas Skyline prospect plays with tremendous instincts and had a key interception in the championship game.

UTIL Finn Nicholson, Bridgeland (2021) — Nicholson played both quarterback and defensive back during the tournament and was one of the weekend’s true unsung heroes. He doesn’t have any offers, but he’s definitely a ball player and worthy of being on this list.
